Day 1

It took all day to get here, but we are finally in Brattleboro, VT.

Up at 5;30, at the airport by 7:00, due to depart at 9:00.  But...our plane broke.  That is, there was an electrical problem.  Fortunately another plane was due to arrive and not be rescheduled, so after sitting on the tarmac for about a half hour, we deplaned and re- boarded another plane, and departed about 10:30.

That put us into Boston about an hour and a half later than we planned.  It took the shuttle forever to get us to Thrifty Rental Cars, where we waited only a short time.  Also picking up their car was David Horsey, he of PI political cartoon fame, for those of you in the Seattle area familiar with his award winning work.  I know it was him because I asked him. :-)

Anyway, most of our trip across Massachusetts was in the dark, but we arrived at our motel by 10:40.  Now we have all of our electronics plugged in and recharging.  We'll look at our plans for tomorrow, and then try to get some sleep, even though the three hour time difference tells us it isn't time to go to bed yet.

  1. It's a long day, and Boston is a tough airport for rental cars. Glad you made it safely.

  5. Posting a comment along with my "regular" cohorts. I almost laughed when I saw who had been here already and left comments. Hoping you get some rest, I know about that time difference problem!
