A Walk Around the Garden

Skim through the last post for the work we recently did in planting.  Now here's a walk about, beginning with the espaliered fruit trees and the vegetable garden area and lower yard.

Down the path  to the garden deck.

The wisteria will soon be in bloom.

Back up and around the house to the upper yard.

In the herb bed the rooster has been redecorated and stands gurad.
The dahlias are next to the raspberries this year.

 In the secret garden.

Spring is all pink and green and lovely.
Is it in the woods Where the wild things are?
Rest in peace, Maurice Sendak.  Your Wild Things will live on.

  1. Unbelievably beautiful, Linda. So much to see in there, so much understated elegance... and I do see why you require so much time in the garden! Not just one, but many!!

  3. What a gorgeous yard! Spring is my favorite time of year when so much is blooming and what isn't blooming is a beautiful green.

  5. Very nice, Linda. Do you put your garden furniture away for the winter or leave them out year round?

  6. @ gigi: We put some in the garden shed, but the patio table and chairs and the wooden deck furniture stay out all year.

  7. I have been looking at your last three blogs Linda. Your gardens look great and are a credit to the hard work you and Tom put into them - Dave

  8. I love your garden!
Spring is over here, the days heading into the 90's. It's time to harvest the last of the cool season crops and look forward to tomatoes.
Our summers are too hot for a lawn, I'm unwilling to poor enough water on it too keep it green.
I like seeing the espaliered trees. I have started a few but they have yet to yield any fruit.

  10. Oh, Linda, it is a beautiful park! Are you signed up for those garden tours? I can barely imagine how many hours you put into keeping things so pretty each week. It makes me so happy and peaceful to look at these pictures and the ones below. Thanks!
