Flowers

The time for flowers is fading.

Some are being left to feed the birds.
Some are being composted.
Others are just coming into bloom.
Some will wait until the first frost knocks them down.

Others will age gracefully in place.

A few are still there for the picking.

And some are being harvested by washing and drying in the sun before being stored in the attic.

  2. I just love the glass garden ornaments you've both created. Your garden is such a beautiful creative accomplishment. I can see how much work it takes to make it so though.

  5. Ah, I see Tom was manning the camera today. Such a beautiful garden, still. I'm always happy to visit it and see how it's faring. :-)

  6. The last picture made me laugh. Such gorgeous colors, both natural and manmade. I love this ending-of-summer post, and the reminder how lucky we are to live in the Pacific Northwest.
