Watson's Greenhouse and Nursery

On Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, after visits to the Seymour Conservatory and the Tacoma Cemetery, we stopped by two of our favorite nurseries in the Tacoma/Puyallup area. The first was Watson's Greenhouse and Nursery.

Tom found a fancy leaf geranium he didn't already have!
This coleus was so healthy looking, such giant leaves! It would never do that well in our garden.
 Pots ready to go!

I love how nursery display artists use color.
 I resisted the heuchera table.

You can get your spiny plants here too.

The gift shop/home decor displays are numerous and enticing.
Since we don't need any more plants or garden art, we managed to escape with just one geranium, but thank you, Watson's,  for the hour of beauty.

  1. You certainly give me a tour of all the possible places to shop! I am amazed that there are so many. :-)

  2. What strength. Nothing like a "real" nursery to make your eyes bigger than your pocket book. One plant is totally acceptable. Maybe even two.

  3. I can hardly believe you left all those gorgeous plants and came home with a single Geranium. I;m afraid I just don't have that much self-control.

  4. I love garden centers. I'd like to win a $1000 gift certificate at a garden center, but probably that will never happen.

  5. I see the old wooden chairs must be in again. They still look uncomfortable.

  6. They just keep the gorgeous coming month after month. I feel fortunate to live so close and be able to take advantage of their many sales throughout the year.

  7. Oh gracious! What an amazing place! I'm amazed at all the different gorgeous flowers there are available. The selection is immense. I really love that archway at the entrance.

  8. Nice place. Looks good. I love the blue pots. I have mostly red pots. I got most of them when my late husband was sick. I think I focused on red because they were cheery.
How could you bypass the heucheras??? I just bought another on called Snow Angel--soft and pretty although I usually like the brighter colored ones.
