My fellow history teachers and I try to take a spring trip to the area around Natchez. Other places of interest right around that area are the "ghost town"of Rodney, MS that was once considered for the capital of Mississippi and now has a few dilapidated buildings and a church. Also, Windsor Ruins are amazing. So glad you were able to experience a taste of our southern hospitality.
