I do love flowers, but I find what draws my eye in gardens is most often the foliage.
I tend to fill my pots with perennials and annuals that have interesting leaf form and color.
In the ground I like to layer with different colors and textures of foliage.
amazing colors, beautiful foliage.
ReplyDeleteI'm awestruck by your beautiful garden. Sometimes I wish I lived where it is cool and damp and things grow. Then I think of the other things I like to do and am glad I live where I do. I should at least try a pot of succulents.
ReplyDeleteYour post reminded me of a saying that I have as a bookmark. It goes something like...Some people complain that roses have thorns, and others are happy that thorns have roses. To love the foliage and have the flower be a bonus is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteI adore your garden, since I am a beginning gardener, myself. You have given me so many good ideas for my own garden. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo green and lush!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
Isn't nature a marvel? I love looking at the foliage colors too. The succulents here are very much like the ones I was eying today at the plant nursery. They ask for little more than some sun, and they give us so much vibrance in return!
ReplyDeleteI do have to say, though, that your arrangements, even the planters you use, add to the complete picture.
Linda, your garden is just gorgeous! I can only imagine how much you must enjoy it! Thanks for sharing the beauty!
ReplyDeleteI am too lazy a gardener. I know how much work goes into having such a showcase garden. I prefer just enjoying yours.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, but I still love the flowers.
ReplyDeletewow...amazing Linda..would you believe that we are going to have a frost tonight and set a record? I had to put all my containers in the garage...
ReplyDeleteLovely leaves! I may have to come get your help if/when I finally get a garden!
