You're a Grand Old Flag
By George M. Cohan
You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave.
You're the emblem of
The land I love.
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true
'neath the Red, White and Blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the grand old flag.
You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave.
You're the emblem of
The land I love.
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true
'neath the Red, White and Blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
Keep your eye on the grand old flag.
I want these words to be true, for us and for our country. This Fourth of July, let's celebrate all that's good about our United States of America!
Happy 249th Birthday, USA!
Happy Fourth of July to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteLove this song too, Linda! Happy 4th ! There is so much good about our country and what it stands for... we can't let that be lost.
