Memorial

Shortly after Corey brought the kids over this morning ( it's "data day" at school, teachers work, kids are off), a package I had been expecting arrived.

It was the memorial plaque I had ordered to mark the Wind Spinner.  It was nice to have a delegation help in planting the marker in the garden.

I am now arranging to have my aunt and hopefully my cousins over for tea so they can see the memorial.  That may happen soon.

  1. Bless you, that is such a nice thing to do. Is Irene going through a growing spell? In these pictures she looks like a pre-teen more than a little girl. Perhaps it's having her hair pulled back. She seems to be standing in lady like positions. Wow, soon you won't have a little girl anymore but instead, a young lady.

  2. This is so nice, Linda. I like the plaque. I've been upset about leaving the garden we started for Julie. I think what you have done is so nice. A wind chime and the plaque is nice because it can be moved. I may have to do the same thing.

  4. @ Linda: Yes, Irene is in a growth spurt. The little girl is definitely gone. Both of them are looking way too old for me. We're entering a new stage for sure.

  8. Beautiful! I also notice how quickly Irene is growing up. You are all very lucky to be able to be together during these years that fly by so quickly!
