I'm not quite 3 months out from my knee surgery, and with all of my other issues, mobility is still difficult, but I was NOT going to miss the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival this year. So I didn't!
We came up to Whidbey Island Monday evening, just as the sunset was fading.
On Tuesday we drove up island and over to the Skagit Valley, where the glorious color of the sunset was repeated over and over again in the spectacular colors of the tulips.
I was there! I loved every minute of it!
I have a lot of photos, of course. While I am still at the island I am using my little lap top. I'll give you a taste of this flower spectacle and the beautiful valley. Later, at home I'll post more.
Today, Wednesday, we are working in the cabin garden, where our cabin tulips are also in bloom.
I'm trying to be careful, but I have actually been down on my knees weeding. I quit for the day, but then Tom is back out there this afternoon, so I have to get out there too and help a bit more.
Besides, it's just so pretty.
What beautiful tulips! Your tulips at the cottage are putting on a beautiful show too!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful! Wish I could be in the middle of that. Be careful with the knees. Linda in Kansas
