Time to Enjoy

I finally got through my list today and I got some time off, so I spent it here, out on the wisteria draped garden deck. I finally took the time to read my May English Gardening magazine. As I read about and studied the photos of the beautiful English gardens, a light breeze carried the fragrance of the flowers and the melodic tinkle of a wind chime. I decided my right here, right now could match anything the magazine had to offer.
It is often the plight of gardeners that they are so busy creating and maintaining a garden that they have little time to sit and enjoy it.
It was nice to soak in the beauty of this part of the garden, now at it's best, and enjoy what we have created.

  3. You have a beautiful, beautiful garden!\. Like you I have to remind myself to stop and smell the roses and wisteria. Jack reminds me by handing me a glass of wine and then we go sit in our swing. Yes, you are damm right---this is as good as anything in that English gardening magazine or in Martha's magazine and I bet we did most of the gardening ourselves. The English have the landscapers on their estates doing the work and Martha has a ton of workers up in New York at her estate. Martha's Connecticut estate where she got her start she gave to her Mom in her final years and now that her Mom is deceased that estate is on the market but I don't think that anyone has purchased it yet. So Linda grab your hubby and raise a glass of wine to the late spring season which is as about as good as it gets in the gardening world. Jack and I will raise our glasses and salute you here in Virginia.

  9. One of the prettiest places on the planet! I should say that you rival anything in any gardening magazine I've looked at in the last decade.

So glad you found the time to enjoy it... and that you allowed us to share in it's beauty and tranquility.
