It's October!

 It's Pumpkin month. I decorated.

It's all the same stuff I put up every year in October. I really like Autumn - Fall - Halloween - colored leaves, and the crisp but sunny days of October. I can now even be OK with the end of summer.

The leaves are just barely beginning to turn in our garden but soon the bright maples will be putting on their glow.

Tom is out cleaning up the patio from a windstorm we had over the weekend. There will be many more cleanings before the falling is done. He will also mow the lawn now that the grass is growing again after the  dry summer.

I'll be out cleaning up the edges as soon as I feel better. That cold or sinus attack or whatever it was got me too, and I am dealing with severe headaches. body aches,  and an unsettled stomach. We hardly ever get sick so it's cramping our style.

Of course I still have flowers to fill  my vases.

Life is good, even when I'm sick.

  1. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. You managed to get your decorations out anyway. They look as lovely as they do every year.
    Feel better soon!!

  3. You and Tom always have the most beautiful seasonal decoration, Linda. The weather did start to cool when we were in Illinois last month.

  4. Most photos have an orange tinge which is very suitable for this time of year. The clock on the mantle brings back memories and I try to think where I saw a similar clock.

  5. October is still hot and humid here in Hawaii. We have had a very unusual year dodging several hurricanes. Keep warm and hydrated and get well soon!
