Book Review

  1. I felt the same way after I finished the book. A friend had given it to me after she was unable to get into the story. I loved it and felt much like you did: it was really beautifully written, and it was translated from the French language. Kudos also to the translator! :-)

  4. I, on the other hand, just finished reading After Dark by Haruki Murakami because my mother told me he was a very, very famous Japanese author. Riiighht... The story is about several people in the course of one night and at the end, it left you hanging. I must not be very literary minded because it just aggravated me to bits. Then again, your book sounds sad and I do so love happy endings.
