Connie, I made May baskets!

Well, sort of.

My May baskets are nothing compared to Connie, of Far side of Fifty, who challenged us to make at least one May basket.
The Grands are staying with us this week while their mother is out of town on  a mission of mercy, so I decided to add a little fun to their early morning breakfast.

My "baskets" are just small drink cups with a construction paper handle and an origami paper lining, nothing fancy. They held a dollar's worth of change and some Hershey's Miniatures, which went into the kids' lunch boxes. And flowers, of course, a few sprigs of Forget Me Nots and Lily of the Valley, which I foraged from the yard way early this morning.

Now that the kids have been delivered to their schools, we can slow down to our usual morning pace.

Have a great day! It's the first of May!

  8. Oh May Day---such good memories. As children we mad Tussie Mussies and loved our little baskets and put them on the neighbors porches. Also we walked to school and (don't tell) we picked flowers out of neighbors yards and gave them to our teachers. This was in grade school

  10. I can't believe it's already May! I love your little baskets and I'll bet the grands did too.

I finished all my 20 posts about the Europe trip, and now I have to work on the album before our daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law arrive to spend summer with us.
