We drove from Seattle to Rockaway Beach on Tuesday in clouds and rain and drizzle. This morning the fog cleared and we have beach!
Quite a difference from yesterday when this view from Neahkahnie Mountain pretty much was how it looked everywhere.
So we went for a walk.
On the beach road we met Puddle Duck.
We took our favorite short trail through the shore pinestoo the beach by Twin Rocks.
The beach erosion is getting severe and the end of the trail is gone but deposited sand has made the access easy.
We walked back to the cabin on the beach.
The weather is supposed to be good the rest of the week. We'll stay until Saturday or Sunday, be lazy, eat seafood and ice cream, Tillamook of course, do some exploring, and just enjoy being here.
Oh have fun! I love the Oregon Coast, how wonderful that you can go there!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week at the beach. You've had great variety in weather which makes things interesting.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good plan. Good for you figuring out your technical problems.
ReplyDeleteI like your puddle duck :)
Have a nice time and nice walks by the sea!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting some beach time. And those pictures showing you and Tom are wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely spot to enjoy a beach walk! Glad the fog lifted.
ReplyDeleteThat shot of you and Tom with the two islands in the back is SO sweet!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I have never been, but think it must be lovely to live close to the Oregon coast. Love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteIt looks and sounds like the perfect get-away. Time to unwind and enjoy the ocean. There is something about the ocean; I get with in a mile of it and start to smell that fishy sea air and I'm 50 years younger full on energy and youth. Maybe Ponce De Leon was on the wrong coast when he claim to have found the Fountain of Youth, LOL.
ReplyDeleteHow nice. Wish I had a change in scenery too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very interesting brace you have. I think I would love that for my left leg. I love that photo of you and Tom too.
