It Didn't Rain!!!

Well, we lost, 3-2, but it didn't rain on our tifo! Here we are, ready to go! Jill went in early to meet up with Jake and help with the set up before enjoying some adult beverages.

We met up with them in Occidental Park for the march to the match.

At the stadium we took time to groove to the music of Sound Wave.
Then we began our climb up the ramp to the 300 level.
We got our free food - hot dogs, pop corn, peanuts, soda and water, and got settled in. I brought some carrots and apple slices just to add a bit of nutrition.
After the National anthem it was time to unfurl the overhead banners.
That big green one is the one I helped with. the guys also made the World cup banner hanging above.
The message - that Seattle and it's fans are worthy of hosting a World Cup. The USA is making a bid for one of the next two, which, like the Olympics, are held every four years.
The Emerald City Supporters are a large, well organized supporter group in the south end. Here is their display.
So that's it. It was over in minutes, and then we settled in to watch the match. Seattle finally scored two goals in the final minutes, but too little, too late.
But we had a good time anyway.

  6. Thanks for your compliments. The credit for the talent and creativity and hard work really go to son Jake and friend Joe, the sewing guy. I was happy to lend a hand, some technical advice and a serger machine.
