We Decorated
There are no pumpkins on the porch yet. I don't know that I'll put any out this year since we won't be home for Halloween and we don't have trick-or-treaters here anyway, since the house is too far off the street, and it's easier to go to the mall.
But we do have this little scare crow girl to greet arrivals to the front door.
And inside we have some fun stuff that we like to display just for our own enjoyment.
The glass jack-o-lanterns are antique candy jars that belonged to Tom's mother and her sister, circa 1915.

Linda, that is such fun to see. That's one of the things I miss the most in apartment living. There's little room to store anything so I have to keep decorations to a minimum.
ReplyDeleteIf I were still in my house in Texas you can bet fall decorations would be everywhere. I don't like halloween much but pumpkins and fall leaves are wonderful. I also miss my Christmas decorations.
Tom's mother picked the right daughter-in-law in you. You seem to appreciate her things as much as she did.
Very festive looking! I love Halloween decorating.
ReplyDeleteOh my Linda...you have so many pretty decorations and perfectly arranged too...
ReplyDeletewow are you ever decorated. I do my door wreath and a pumpkin outside-that's it!
ReplyDeleteLovely decorations Linda - many 'traditional' too, and historic. Well done! - Dave
ReplyDeleteYou certainly got into the spirit of Halloween. I guess Thanksgiving is not far off...
ReplyDeleteHow much fun these are! And you have been busy making your home even more lovely. As usual. Thanks for sharing these decorations with me, I am as usual just putting a couple of gourds on my desk. That's it for me!
ReplyDeleteHow fall-ish and festive! Husband can't seem to find our decorations. Looks like I'm going to have to wander down to the basement storage area...
ReplyDeleteI love your Halloween treasures. I've never seen the old, glass pumpkins before. Must keep an eye out the next time we go antiquing.
ReplyDeleteI realize I should get off my duff and do some Halloween/autumn decorating around here....
how wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI decorate inside as well
mostly for the cats to dismantle ;)
I so enjoyed seeing your Halloween and fall decorations. I especially loved the antique/family decorations. How wonderful you showcase the heirlooms in such a nice way.
ReplyDeleteWell it looks like you decorate more than you thought. It sure looks like a lot of stuff. I don't put much styff out. A few pumpkins is all. Nobody seems to xare around here. MB
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful! It's a lot of fun to see all your fabulous Halloween decorations. I don't have any at my house. Hmmm... wait a minute! I think I'll dig some up and hang it on my door.
