This card is from a collection of old post cards from Tom's Mother's estate. It is signed on the back from Mildred. Mildred was her sister. I guess the age to be about the early 1930's.
After our balmy weather over the weekend, the weather service says we are due for a return of ice and snow by the end of the week. I'm glad we "made hay" while the sun shined.

wow, incredible that the card was kept for all these years! I throw my cards and correspondence away within a week of receipt.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day, Linda!

ReplyDeleteHave a great Happy Valentine's Day, Linda. We have a busy day today. I'm checking on a Craigslist desk that I've been eyeing for a while now. We'll see. If we get it, Art says it'll be my Valentine's gift. We'll also take my mom out for a Valentine's lunch. :-)
ReplyDeleteUGH Linda, NO more ice and snow! at least that is what I say!
ReplyDeleteI love the Valentine :) how sweet...I hope you are enjoying your day and eating lovely treats!
It's great that you have a collection of old cards. And you are very welcome about the video.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing that lovely card with us Linda, and for the link. It is so pretty. We're to have a week of milder weather this week. Good luck with your turn of the weather. At least we're on the right side looking forward to Spring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet nostalgia rose up in me when I looked at the card. How different they were then, and how wonderful of you to share it here. I hope your Valentine's Day was a wonderful one, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a nice Valentine's Day, despite the weather!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful Valentine's card! How wonderful to have these precious momentoes. I save all of the cards I receive from my husband and children. They go into a special chest. I have been away from blogging for a bit but am back and slowly catching up. Hope all is well with you and yours and that spring is indeed just around the corner! Its been cold here and plenty of snow for us to get out and snowshoe every afternoon.
