WE WON!

These are not my photos, but I share in the jubilation!
The game has been over for hours now, but this city is still abuzz.  The Seattle Seahawks won the NFC Championship
and that means we are
What makes the win so joyous is that we very nearly lost it, and came back only in the last four minutes to score two touchdowns, go into overtime, and play better in that rapid fire drive to the end zone for the winning touchdown than the team had played most of the game. That touchdown came at the finish of a 34 yard pass, and the whole Puget Sound area went crazy.  All of our pets are just now coming out of hiding.

We all still can't really believe it.

  1. I'm sure there was a lot of tension released when they won. Sounds like it was fun.

  4. The Super Bowl will be interesting, Linda: Your team vs. my team. I should confess, though, that I become a Patriots fan once the playoffs start. Otherwise, I don't take much interest. I'll be a die-hard fan on Feb.1!

  5. That was one of the most discouraging AND uplifting games I've ever seen. What a finish! I cried right along with Russell. Go Hawks! :-)

  8. I rooted for Seattle and New England because I love Pete Carroll and Tom Brady. Good luck to both teams in the Super Bowl.

  9. I was feeling so badly for you through out the game. Russell was having an awful day but then he caught fire and pulled out an amazing win. The 12th man did its job and didn't give up.
Be proud and good luck in the Super Bowl. Please beat the Patriots and be sure to check the ball pressure.

  11. Oh the noise! I was running some errands during the game. Great time as the streets and shops were very sparsely populated. I assumed that the Seahawks won when fireworks, cheers, and folks dressed in blue and green started running around beating drums. I'm happy for you!
