Beauty On a Rainy Walk

We needed to get a walk in this morning.  We thought the rain was done. It wasn't. But with our rain gear on, we were fine, and enjoyed getting out into the cool, fresh air.

And in our neighborhood park, we were blessed with beauty this Sunday morning.

It's partly sunny now this afternoon, but we're happy to be inside, taking it easy and awaiting the Sounders playoff match on TV later. After standing in the rain at two grand kid's soccer games Saturday, there is something to be said for watching from the comfort on your recliner.

  1. And beauty for those who in prior years took this same walk and was awed by the same beauty.

  2. You are doing the right thing by challenging the weather and being out in the rain.

  3. A beautiful walk! Yes, after being outside all day on Saturday, you deserved some recliner time!

  4. Lovely walk. Thanks for taking us along. I love walking in the rain. Unfortunately, up here, rain is usually accompanied by strong winds.

  5. It is something I'm actually looking forward to: walking in the rain where it's a reasonable temperature! :-)

  6. I tend to put outdoor plans on hold for rain and bad weather when really sometimes it is not necessary. As a former student once pointed out, I am not the wicked witch of the north so I will not melt in a light rain.

  7. I've just enjoyed catching up with reading your posts, all the way to the apple fritter. :) We are having the wettest November ever! Today it has rained non stop since daybreak. It does get depressing. Your pictures are so beautiful!

  8. So very lovely. I love these days in autumn when the leaves have partially denuded themselves. Your colors are so much richer than ours. Your truly had a beautiful walk. Aren't we lucky to be able to indulge in the luxury of taking simple walks and watching games without having to worry about going to work on Monday?

  9. We were so happy we got to see the fall colors in the Midwest and East earlier. Now if I could just recover from this cold I caught, I'd really be happy. Looks like fall in Seattle is equally spectacular. Mom is still talking about her spring trip and how much she enjoyed it.
