Skywatch - Promise of a Better Day
I was sitting at my computer catching up with my blog friends, thinking as I began to find Skywatch postings, that I wouldn't do one this week. Outside my window I noticed a glow, but went on blogging until it hit me. The sun was setting with an orange - red glow. By the time I finally got myself going I had almost missed it!
While it's not a great photo, what it means is that THE RAIN HAS STOPPED!
You know what they say. "Red at night, sailor's delight." Some of those sailors are right now in row boats in their yards rescuing people, pets and prized possessions. Relief is in sight.

That's a beautiful photo and I hope all is getting better on your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful. We got a little of that tonight, but I wasn't quick enough to catch. Hmmm that seems to be true with me much of the time. Great photo! Have a great weekend!

It is a welcome sight I'm sure with all the rain and flooding causing misery for everyone in your corner! Here's hoping that the sunshine will dry up all the rain!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I'm glad you made it out there! I'm sorry about the flooding.
ReplyDeletehere's to a day of sunshine to dry up all the puddles and floods...
ReplyDeleteI have been seeing your terrible weather and flooding on the news..I'm glad that you got a look at the pretty sunset and hopefully things will start to dry out...
ReplyDeleteI hope that the weather there is clearing. Your photo show it. - Dave

ReplyDeleteIt may not be great , but it sure is nice!
ReplyDeleteThe glow is reassuring that tomorrow (today) might be a brighter day!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. Thanks for taking the time to do that. The colors can be so fleeting. Our snow is all gone now and the rains are subsiding, hopefully the rivers will retreat. MB
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pink sky.
ReplyDeleteGreat the way one color fades to the next in your picture. I hope life returns to normal for people in Western Washington soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful that your rain has stopped and that this beautiful sky is a sign of hope.
ReplyDeleteAt least there is hope drwn from a beautiful sky. I'll be praying for those in your area.
ReplyDeleteMuch improved from all that water! We are due to have more snow...again!
ReplyDeleteOh now I need to clean out closets again. You know I did this last winter and it's funny how they manage to fill right back up.
