Farewell to Teddy

I watched much of the wake on TV last night, and the funeral mass today. Many wonderful stories were shared about Senator Kennedy, Uncle Teddy, just friend Teddy, and "my Dad". They rounded out the portrait of a remarkable man, an man much deeper and more complex than I had any idea of. I just liked his politics. Now I equally admire the man.

  1. I agree. Evidently he was content to work in the background and leave much of the credit to others. It is only in the last few months I have begun to hear of all the hard work on social justice issues and mentoring of future leaders he has been involved with all these years.

  2. He was an amazing and incredible man and one that will be missed -- in many ways. He was indeed involved in so many things that most people never knew about.

  3. I didn't know a lot about him either. He's had such a lot of tragedy to deal with. What an amazing family.

  7. I enjoyed seeing Caroline, and hearing her speak of him. The tributes were to a whole family, a great family.. we've been honored to have them amongst us.
