SUPER BOWL BOUND!

It's official!

It's the Thrill of Victory!

Oh, there was plenty of agony.  Right down to the last 30 seconds.  But the Seahawks came back in the second half, and held on, with a dramatic turnover - an interception in the end zone - to win, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 23-17.

The Seattle Seahawks have a date with the Denver Broncos in New Jersey in two weeks, in Super Bowl 48!

And on a personal note, I will have to watch from my hospital bed.  I have back surgery that Friday.  I wonder if I will be able to wear my jersey.

  1. It was a nail biter for sure! I enjoyed it, thinking of you, and of course you can wear your jersey from your hospital bed! Whew, glad that's over so I can relax now... :-)

  2. Somehow I knew there would be a post from you. I didn't watch cause I'm not into football, or even sports in general. But I figured when I heard fireworks in the neighborhood, that it meant they had won. Hope your surgery goes well and that you can still enjoy the game.

  4. I heard about the victory on TV and thought about you and DJan. I'm really happy for you all. I'm thinking the nurse might just let you wear that Seahawks jersey in the hospital. If you do, make sure Tom takes a photo. :-)

  6. I watched the game, cheered for the SeaHawks and thought of you and Djan.
Both of our teams made the big one. However, on that day, I will be rooting for the Broncos. May the best team win.

  8. Being from New England, I just have to say football is over for me for this season.
Although, in reality I pay no attention to football anyway.
Your children certainly look jubilant at the outcome!

  9. My husband and I watched the game. We were pulling for the Sea Hawks...way down here in NC! I'm not sure if I was pulling for the Sea Hawks or for you and your family! :) Glad they won! You do have a great family!

  10. So there was a ball game of some sort going on? I think I heard something about it (every two seconds.) I'm happy for all of you folks who follow the sport.

  11. See you in a few weeks. I will be on the other side. Actually, I watched the Seahawks play in honor of you and DJan. As far as the jersey goes, who knows, they might just let you wear it.

  12. Bravo to your Seahawks!!
I have asked NJ to be nice and hospitable while they're here

I like your quarterback, he seems genuine, not a TV creation like another QB I could name

good luck Friday, will be thinking of you

  13. I think the reason I distance myself from sporting events is I can't stand the tension! Nice win - Ron happy - could this really be the year?

Hope you can wear your jersey, and that the game gives you something to take your mind off being in the hospital.
