I made the most of my morning, getting my 3.5 mile walk in and and completing my exercise routine before hitting the shower and having a little down time before going to Isaac's first soccer match of the new Youth Soccer season.
Of course I took a few photos. It was getting hot out on the field and being active was better than just sitting.
Hair a-flying, there goes Isaac.
Just to the left of Isaac's blurry head you can see Tom and Jill sitting on the sidelines. ↓
Game over. The Wolverines are victorious, 4-2.
Good game, everybody.
Since then I have had an long lunch hour on the patio, and then made a trip to Safeway for a few provisions for a no-cook dinner. Now I think it's time to start a new book. I just have to decide if I'll sit and read inside where it's cooler or outside in the shade, because summer won't last forever.
Our afternoon was with our grandson's touch football game in 90 some degrees. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteIsaac looks like he puts his heart into the game. He is such a handsome boy. It is easy to see where he got his love of sports!
ReplyDeleteIsaac looks so much like you, Linda and it looks like he has a great time on the soccer field!
ReplyDeleteMy 6 yr old granddaughter plays soccer every week and her dad is the coach. In fact, both my daughter and her hubby played soccer in high school.
ReplyDeletetime for indian summer? looks like an exciting game!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful head of hair he has.
ReplyDeleteHe really puts his heart and hair into the game.
Up in Mount Vernon it wasn't quite so hot but still hot enough. Looked like a good game.
ReplyDeleteHow long is Isaac going to let his hair grow? My younger brother did not want to get his hair cut---EVER. Today he is a grown man and still has long hair. So it goes. MB
I just got to this post today, at almost 6 in the evening on Sunday! It's been hot here, too, and today didn't feel much better. We've got clouds and rain on tap, though. Love your pictures of what looks like full-on summer! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the action shots!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like another good day. I feel guilty going inside to read on the couch when I could be outside in the sun ... so I am getting pretty tan these days. It has been quite nice here in La Pine and in the 80's but not super hot.
Hugs,
Kathy M.
I love the action shots !
ReplyDeleteFabulous action shots! I wonder how long Isaac will grow his hair. You should see my nephew's!
