Decorating

The sun is shining in my window at the moment! It's lighting up tiny new green leaves emerging from their buds. The time of new life and renewal is upon us.

Of course that means Easter is nearly here. And so I decorated.

An old pitcher from an antique shop holds bits of shrubs from our yard. I made the table topper years ago. The little ceramic chicks I picked up at The Barn Nursery on our anniversary adventure last week.
The mantel looks as it does every Easter, with family antiques and seasonal things I have accumulated over the years.

Peter Rabbit and friend  keep watch over the eggs.
My old pottery ducks are in a row.

Chicks and bunnies in the dining room.
Eggs adorn the mosaic plaque we bought in Rome.
 More pottery put to use.
We will be having Easter dinner at Jill's house, but I like to decorate, even if it's just for me. And we will be having birthday pie for Jake here this Sunday, after we all go out to dinner.

  3. I agree when you say you like to decorate, even if it's just for yourself. I do quite a bit of changing various decorations as the seasons pass and sometimes I think my family hardly notices. But I do it for my own pleasure.

  4. Love all the Easter decor, especially the first arrangement. Until last year I had a mantel clock just like yours.

  5. It does lift the spirits to decorate for spring. Who can resist Easter? Love the pitcher full of fresh things from your yard.

  7. Nice Easter bunnies looking very content, Linda. I'm glad you decorate, I enjoy seeing it all, since I don't do it myself. :-)

  8. Your decorating is just beautiful, as always! The first picture is my favorite. Those two little chicks look so real and remind me of the old fashioned chicks, and the flowers are so springy!!
