Not More Snow!

Yes, more snow. This was the scene outside our bedroom window this morning.

It looks like we got about 1.5 inches. Fortunately I didn't have to put on my high top rubber boots to go out to get the paper this morning. My rubber clogs would do.

With the temperature just above freezing, it slushed up fast on the streets.

Now it's melting fast. Good riddance. After our February Snowmageddon, we are not fond of snow here in Seattle. As it is, the kids are now going to school until June 25th.

  1. Oh the children will learn to hate snow if they have to go to school that long. Bah humbug. I'm glad you didn't get much. Ours is just now about gone except for in the shaded areas. We are to have about an 1" as they predict for tonight. We will see what happens. Be careful out there.

  2. We had about the same or maybe a little more in the higher elevations around town. But yes, I agree that it's way past time for the snow to go! :-)

  3. We got less snow than you did but it was coming down fast and thick as we sat having our breakfast. So pretty but enough is enough already.

  4. Oh my! June 25th? We had friends with four daughters visiting in Hawaii. They thought they’d be missing school in Seattle a few weeks ago. As it turned out, they didn’t miss much at all since there were snow days. The snow looks pretty in your photos though.

  6. Oh yes, I am fed up with it. We got more yesterday during the day, but it mostly melted today. I don't want to hear how pretty it is, I just want it to stop.

  7. These are not the pictures we have gotten used to seeing from you at this time of year. Spring has to be on the way by now!

  8. I know you are fed up but gosh it is pretty and I am so envious--we have only had two minor dustings this Winter that melted by noon. Sigh.

  9. Oh no! You've got to be so tired of it and ready for spring. At least it is the 8th of March, so spring has to be close. We have more rain coming in for tonight and the weekend. :( Hope you have a good weekend.

  11. Your photos are beautiful! I can't even imagine living in/with it though. We never get snow here in Houston. I hope you get some relief from it soon.

  13. Yes oh yes---SNOW! It is hanging around out here but only because we are at a higher elevation---actually in the foothill I guess. I wish it would go way away and bring back the palm trees and sunshine. Although we have had many freezing days with sunshine---so not so bad except for the snow
