Skywatch - Who's Watching Us?

This photo was taken last week on Front Street in the historical town of Coupeville, on Whidbey Island. After Labor Day, the summer crowds are gone, and only a few of us "tourists" were strolling the streets. I imagined some dialogue between these two.
They might have been sharing the local town gossip, or commenting on the artists who were working at easels around the village as part of an art event. But most likely they were lamenting the lack of good pickings now that all those messy, candy and ice cream eating kids had gone back to school.

  1. Nice! The best shot is clearly the two birds in the first frame you shared. A great one! Of course, your cover art for your blog looks like something I'd like to climb. Or rolld down...lol. A big kid at heart. Thanks for sharing. Mine is up also. Hope you will stop over and say hello!

  8. sigh.... I really want to be there and feel the salt spray on my skin and listen to the gulls. I want to feel the sand under my bare feet and take pictures of the quaint little shops and colorful flowers that you did. If only.

But, your post definitely gets a second place ribbon.

    Thanks for sharing!
