I don't like Labor Day, because it means the end of summer. Even though I am retired now, and don't have to go back to work when school starts, I still feel that melancholy, that sense of loss. We usually run away to Whidbey to celebrate our freedom. This photo is taken there at the cabin. But with the coming of Fall, football returns! I am a dedicated Seahawk fan. And what better place to fly the flag than in a place where the osprey are constantly overhead, fishing in the bay, our true sea hawks.
I'm ready for some football!
GO HAWKS!! Blue against the blue. MB
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF and Happy Weekend! Isn't it incredible how quickly time just jets by?
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about fall. I miss summer already, and it's still hot! Although I am an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, I'll still wish your Hawks well. BJ
ReplyDeletewell, I'm not a football fan but my husband loves it and I can hide away in the computer room and write to my heart's content.
ReplyDeleteYou have captured a grim looking blue hawk there! Have a good fall with your chosen sport entertainment.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!! I am ready for some football!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care and thanks for commenting on my site.
It's a beautiful sky, and good for you with being a football fan. I'm NOT, and sometimes I wish I were so this season wasn't so miserable for me!
ReplyDeleteGo Seahawks! What a great shot against the sky. When I'm not in Southern California I'm in Washington near Kirkland. We are fans of the Seahawks!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready. Go Colts!
ReplyDeleteGreat post you included two of my favorites, the American flag and football.
ReplyDeleteLinda: Beautiful views of the flags in the Sky.
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! Thanks for your visit to my blog. Look at that sky! I spoke with my daughter this afternoon (it's her 30th birthday - yikes!), and she tells me the weather in Seattle has been outstanding.
ReplyDeleteI love the Fall season, BUT we are die hard baseball fans and I so hate to see the season come to an end. Eventually we will find ourselves peeking at some football games.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week-end.
Great photo! I love the spring and summer and I love football! Go Cowboys!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I am glad to see you're a proud Democrat...I was looking at your flags thinking we need a Democrat flag to fly.
ReplyDeleteWow, I watched the conventions in part and whoa..!
I hope you check out the link on my blog called Theocracy Watch. I just added it.
I think you'll like it, maybe you're familiar with it, but it is a valuable link.
Glad to see you back.
Lovely I always stand in awe of the flag!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great shot. I don't know anything about football except that I enjoy the get togethers that come with the sport.
