Hardy Plant Study Weekend - Day 1

Today we toured two large gardens next door to each other in Normandy Park, and then four small gardens in Georgetown.  Here are some highlights.

We also spent over an hour at the Bellevue Botanical Garden NPA Border before going to dinner and then attending the opening session of the conference this evening.

I took 114 photos at BBG Border.  After editing, some of those will make it into another post, later.

More gardens tomorrow!

  1. As I gazed at your beautiful pictures, I kept thinking how wonderful it is to live in such a fantastic place, filled with some of the most beautiful spring and summer scenes ever! Thanks for the tour. I look forward to more of a chance to look over your shoulder. :-)

  3. What beautiful gardens. I recognize the two in Normady Park as one belongs to blogger Justin Galicic who writes the blog Growing Steady http://www.growingsteady.com/ and we had the pleasure of visiting last year at his annual open house and plant sale. Your pictures make me wish that I'd signed up for the study weekend but I really needed the time to get out and gardn in my own yard.

  4. You show a very lush greenery. These are very beautiful places and it's easy to see why you visit them. I've always wanted a pond.

  5. Uh oh! You got spammed. I just saw this on someone else's blog. It's so annoying, isn't it?

I can't get over all your really spectacular photos, Linda! The clarity, color, composition are truly eye catching. It's so green and gorgeous where you are. I'm in awe!

  7. I am a huge foliage person so what pictures loaded for me were a delight. Couldn't see them all due to my slow speed. Gotta love a kitty and a chicken but the water feature also appealed.

  8. It was great to see you and Tom at the Plant Study Weekend! Thanks for these highlights of the gardens I missed because I was doing the Whidbey ones. I love the carousel horse, but I would have preferred it more colorful. Hope you enjoyed the ones you saw today, and are enjoying the WC soccer.
