Packing Our Bags

We'll be flying away on Saturday.  We have two big family celebrations to attend.

For the first event we'll fly to San Jose, CA for a 50th Wedding Anniversary party in honor of Tom's brother Dave and his wife Vicki in Palo Alto, CA, on Sunday.

On Monday we will fly from San Jose to Memphis for a road trip down the Mississippi to New Orleans, where we will attend my nephew Brent's wedding the following Saturday, which will be held here.
This is the pavilion in the New Orleans Botanical Garden and the photo is one I took in the fall of 2004, when Tom and I were in New Orleans for a teacher conference the year before I retired.

I will be taking new photos, of course, but I don't know if I will be blogging as we travel.  I guess we'll all just wait and see.

So long for now.

  2. Have a wonderful time, Linda. I won't remind you to take a lot of photos because... like me, I know you will. I just loved New Orleans. Don't forget to get the muffulata sandwiches at Central Grocery. That was our favorite!

  9. Have a wonderful time! So fun to travel this great country of ours. The trip down the Mississippi will be amazing I'm sure. Hope it isn't too hot! There is a mini-heat wave in the south right now, but it may be relenting a bit by the time you arrive.
