A Patch of Old Snow
There’s a patch of old snow in a corner
That I should have guessed
Was a blow-away paper the rain
Had brought to rest.
It is speckled with grime as if
Small print overspread it,
The news of a day I’ve forgotten—
If I ever read it.
That I should have guessed
Was a blow-away paper the rain
Had brought to rest.
It is speckled with grime as if
Small print overspread it,
The news of a day I’ve forgotten—
If I ever read it.
That's a good RF poem! I'll be glad when we're down to a few small patches in some shady corner.
ReplyDeleteGreat poem. Great illustration.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's good. Well done, LInda. We both did poems today. :-)

ReplyDeleteThat's perfect.
ReplyDeleteWell done! I will not look at an old patch of melting snow in the same way again.
