But Soft....
"What light through yonder window breaks?"
"It is the east," IT IS THE SUN!
Well, yes, we can get a little nutty here in the Pacific Northwest when the sun shines through our windows first thing in the morning.
-
After taking that photo through the window, I took the camera with me when I walked down the driveway to get the paper.
Is that blue sky reflecting in the mud puddle?
The tops of the trees light up.
And I see my shadow!
Unlike the groundhog, I don't run back in my house. This is a good thing. And it doesn't mean winter is over. It's 37 degrees out there. But it does mean people will come out of their houses and offices. They will look for their lost sunglasses. They will drink hot coffee on the sidewalk.
-
I'm headed for the grocery store. Then we're going out to lunch with retired teacher friends. Then this afternoon I plan to walk in the sunshine.
-
Have a good day!

Sunshine...what is sunshine? We did have a little sunshine last week and the rain today reminds me of spring, but 6-8 inches of snow is expected tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLove the green draping the stone wall!
What a difference that sun makes!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, sunny photos. We have sun, too! It's amazing! The weather forecasters were predicting rain until Friday but it's sunny outside. My mother is even hanging laundry outside. Oops! I hope I haven't spoken too quickly. The weather can change on a dime out here.
ReplyDeleteLoved your quoting a bit of "Romeo &Juliet." So glad the sun has returned to the Northwest.
ReplyDeleteThe returning sun isn't planning to stay around long. I just looked at the forecast for our hike tomorrow: rain. But you're right: it doesn't take much for us to start smiling and thinking about spring...
ReplyDeleteLinda, these photos are great. I celebrated our Minnesota sun today, too, but it's about 10 degrees and I won't see snowdrops for months yet.
ReplyDeleteI spent an hour outdoors squinting as I pruned the strawberry plants. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I noticed in your photos is the total lack of telephone poles and telephone lines!!! Unlike where I live. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteYou post could be titled "Ode to A Glorious Day." I hope you enjoyed it for all it was worth.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see the sun when it has been hiding. We had a rare sunny day yesterday and made the most of it.
ReplyDeleteIn a few months I will be complaining of the heat.
LOL oh I know how you feel! It's been dull here the last few days and it sure makes me dull too. And now snow overnight, oh deep joy! I replied to your comment btw.
ReplyDeleteHey..we are right with you on that one...
