I always enjoy the Ikebana show. I do my own judging. I liked these best.
How about a green wall made out of an old wooden pallet?
We love succulents.
I have never bought an orchid. It's hard to meet their requirements in my house here in the PNW. But they are so beautiful!
We left the convention center and walked over to Pacific Place for dinner. this is the view from our table window.
Back at the show, we attended a seminar on shade plants, and then walked back through the now-closed show, past a few of our favorite displays.
And that bonsai being created by Dan Robinson?
Dan says he'll be doing some wiring and create a new live top. We think it looks great!
That must have been an amazing show. I can't imagine how much space it took to set it up.ReplyDelete
I'm not sure how they did the wooden pallet. I've seen here a wall of petunias and when I investigated they had been potted in plastic bags of dirt and secured next to the wall on a flat frame. It was amazing. Only nosey me had to know how they did it. I felt like I was looking up a ladies petticoat.
It has been far too long since I attended a flower show. You've inspired me to look for one.ReplyDelete
I just read last week about a couple in one of those deed restricted communities that are so popular here in FL who planted a vegetable garden on a wall in their yard. The association made them take it down. They donated it to a food shelf so some good came of it at least.
We got quite a few of the same pictures, Linda. I think the quality of yours is different (better) than mine, but I blame my camera! :-)ReplyDelete
It was a great show, I really enjoyed myself...
just lovely, have enjoyed the free tour, gorgeous arrangementsReplyDelete
This was so much fun! I really love ikebana so I'm thrilled that you posted such beautiful photos of it. It's hard to choose which one I liked best. What a great show this was!ReplyDelete
Love the colorful orchids and Ikebana, especially. Sorry this is the end of your tour!ReplyDelete
We were there today. It was amazing and inspiring. I'm exhausted from all the walking though! Posted some pics on Facebook....likely more on my blog in a day or two.ReplyDelete
Didn't get to the show this year. Thanks for taking us on a tour.ReplyDelete
Truly, this Flower and Garden Show is just stunning. I love the top photo. I think that arrangement is my very favorite of the ones you shared. The green wall is quite interesting.ReplyDelete
I'm thinking I may have to steal some of those pallets the spouse stockpiles out in the shop. Now, where could I put one????ReplyDelete
I used to love going to the flower and garden show!! So much to see (and eat). I love the green wall made out of the pallet. And your header, wow! So bright and beautiful on such a dreary, cold day.ReplyDelete
Nice pictures and interesting Linda. I liked the flower colours too - DaveReplyDelete
