Spring officially begins a week from today. Good.
But just in case we forgot it was still winter, we had a reminder today. We woke up to snow!
It's pretty, but fortunately not really sticking to the pavement.
The daffodils are bowing their heads to the Winter Queen.
And then it snowed some more!
I guess we can expect snow showers off and on for the next several days as the temps stay in the mid to upper thirties.
Brrrrrr.
poor daffodils and humans too...lol!
ReplyDeleteWe're having snow today as well but ours is not sticking at all as it's mixed with rain. Sometimes I look out and it's raining and sometimes I look out and it's snowing big flakes.
ReplyDeleteWOW! You really did get snow! We got a few flakes up here - lumpy rain - nothing that stuck on anything. I love the snow on the daffodils and other flowers but I am very ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteAt least when it snows in March you know it can't last too long. We came home to snow in May one year, but it was only for a couple of hours and we are quite a bit north and east of you.
ReplyDeleteYour snow scenes are really lovely. We got about the same amount of snow here, too. Our daffodils are not quite as far along as yours; funny what a little latitude difference makes.
ReplyDeleteWell, the bad news is you got snow. But the good news is you got some GREAT PHOTOS of it(!)
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful..even on the poor flowers..but we are supposed to get the snow..not you..and it was almost 70 Monday..this is crazy weather. Linda ..thank you for linking up to Nature Notes..Michelle
ReplyDeleteHow strange... I just talked to my daughter in Chicago today and she said they had really warm and wonderful weather today. Here in Hawaii.... raining.
ReplyDeleteLovely snowy shots. You have a beautiful yard. We had temps in the 70's yesterday and today to. Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I can't believe you've got snow. They do make pretty pictures though.
ReplyDeleteOH no - are you on Coastal Washington or Oregon? I saw on your sidebar something about Whidbey Island and Rockaway Beach -- neither are places I would associate with March snow. Rain, yup (we're originally from Eugene OR area)...and I well remember the rain beating the daffodils to death in some years. That being said, however, at least you HAD daffodils. Your header shot is absolutely beautiful. (We are in Florida now and have no typical spring flowers!)
ReplyDeleteOh dear! It's sad to see the blossoms covered in snow. But I bet it will melt very fast!
ReplyDeletePerhaps that was winters last hurrah. But remember the first day of spring isn't always the first spring day.
ReplyDeleteit's nearly 80 degrees here today as it was yesterday
ReplyDeleteI would like a bit of snow, it's too warm for me
beautiful shots
Winter unwilling to move on...hope the daffodils aren't affected. With signs of autumn our way it is time for us to prepare.
