Two More Gardens

We have visited the garden of Cleo and Peter Raulerson in Bellevue several times, but it's fun to stop back in for a brief look. There is always beauty here.

They live on a hill with an expansive view to the north and northwest.

This flock of flamingos enjoys the lush lawn.

Farther south, in Newcastle, we found a new garden - well, new to us, although like us, Mike and Sharon Glenn have been gardening here for over forty years.
A wonderful old cedar tree dominates the front yard.
Steps lead up from the house entry to the cedar tree lawn.
A cool  recycled glass art idea.
 What a wonderful clematis!

Entry gate to the back yard.

Shade and sun mix in this part of the garden reclaimed long ago from a wooded lot. Old stumps remain, and a magnificent old flowering cherry  spreads a canopy overhead.

Brick lined grass paths lead every which way.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who are these masked invaders?
 Interesting plant supports.

 A sunny side yard border.
Talking to the gardener is part of the fun.

We are looking forward to more garden touring next weekend.

  9. I visited the Glenn garden last year, I think it was the first time they had opened with the NPA. It was so beautiful and peaceful, just like a park.

  11. Both gardens are beautiful. That lavender clematis is the second garden is amazing. Never seen such huge blooms on a clematis. I like the mirror on the fence too and the cute couple.

  12. Oh good gracious! This is totally amazing. I've never seen clematis like that. The glass art is gorgeous. She must have learned how to do it from your blog. Nobody in Hawaii does glass art like that but I could see where it would really look beautiful in so many of the gardens here.
