Jill's 49th birthday was Friday, March 4th. As usual, she marched forth to find all the free food she could, and then she posted it all on Facebook. I borrowed the photos for you.
Breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, dessert: Denny's, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Red Robin, Baskin and Robbins, Mom.
In between somewhere there was a "cat nap".
Then Jill announced on Facebook that she had started this birthday eating fest on her 40th birthday and this would be the "final grand treat tour, the end of an era of a good decade." Aw. But when I asked her what's next, she thought maybe a three to four day weekend to a not too distant destination getaway. We'll see what adventure comes next.
Jill and Irene spent Saturday in the mountains, teaching a Mountaineers scrambling course. Then in the evening the family gathered for more eating. We went to a Black Angus Steak House, and all of us ate more MEAT than we usually do, and we had fun doing it! And, yes, we even stuffed in some dessert.
I was hoping you'd post this. I always love seeing how many freebies Jill can get. Wow! OMG! A dozen Krispy Kremes? That chocolate cake at Black Angus made my mouth water.
ReplyDeleteamazing how soon our own kids are middle aged...happy birthday Jill!

ReplyDeleteCan't help but admire Jill's traditions! But maybe it is for the best that the free food fest will end - probably healthier but boring.
