On Thursday after we had finished our work in the cabin garden at Whidbey, we took some time to rest. Everything was so quiet and peaceful after the noise of the day before.
Useless Bay was almost still.
Deer Lagoon was a mirror.
We returned home Thursday evening. Now today, Friday, we have been to breakfast, caught up with friends, and then I baked chocolate chip cookies for Irene's soccer team to sell at the Des Moines Marina Saturday Market tomorrow.
If I have any more energy, I'll see about picking some new flowers for the house. I have to work my Wordle for the day. It looks like lots of folks are striking out today.
There's a chill in the air,, but mild 70+ days are returning in usher in fall on Thursday. Sunshine without heat sounds lovely.

ReplyDeleteNow that is a bunch of cookies. As for Wordle I couldn't believe I had 4 of the letters in proper order by the last guess and still missed. Bummer.
ReplyDeleteI crashed and burned on WORDLE today. Ahhh... I see Red did too. And Olga and Patti didn't like it either. That was a hard one. Like Patti, I had 4 of the letters and just kept guessing wrong. Dang it! Those cookies look awesome. Lucky Irene!
ReplyDeleteI got the Wordle on my last try, and that was with a tiny bit of cheating. Someone at the table told me it had two letters the same, and I puzzled and puzzled and finally got it!!

ReplyDeleteI managed to get the Wordle in 4 tries but now I'm wondering if we all get the same word because according to DJan's comment there should be two letters the same. My word did not. Hmmm.
