Skywatch Friday - Waiting For Dark

Usually we like to savor every bit of light during these long early summer days. But a week ago, on the Fourth of July, many folks around here were in a hurry for it to get dark. At this latitude it isn't dark enough for fireworks until 10:15, and then the skys light up with bursts of man made starlight. These photos were taken from Jan's deck, overlooking Henderson Bay, which is part of lower Puget Sound. A good time was had by all.

  4. love your photos...one year in utah we had an interesting fireworks show as the moon was partially showing and there was lightning in the sky. kind of like a competition with god's nature and man's fireworks.

  11. Hi Linda, I just wanted to explain how to do the linking thing.
I had to play with this to learn how to do it, too. You go to New Post. When you get to that page, you highlight the name that you want you link. Then you click onto those double circles above which stands for link. When you click on that link icon, you can put in the http:// address. And voila, you have it. I remember when I first managed to do it, I was so excited.
You can also just copy the steps right off my posting and paste it on yours.

  12. I not only truly enjoyed the photos... but, I loved the "man made starlight" phrase.

It's been such fun for me to peek in on Lin's Blogger Buddie list.

I need to learn how to:
    a: use my camera equipment
    b: download my pics
c: attach them to my blog
d: figure out what to say on my blog so I write more than once every six weeks.

You are one of the fine women who are an inspiration to me.
