Skywatch Friday - Oregon Coast

Today I'm using one of my archive photos, taken several years ago. This is Twin Rocks, taken from in front of the family cabin in Rockaway Beach, Oregon. I'll be heading there next week for another stay. I sure would love to have blue skies overhead again.
Enjoy Skywatch.

  6. I wonder what the twin rocks looked like say, 5 to 10,000 years ago. I would guess much larger. It is a well composed photograph.

My picture is at Canon Pixels

  11. That is a beautiful place to have a cabin. Those rocks remind me of a similar formation we saw in New Zealand up near the Bay of Islands. We went on a boat trip and when we went through the rock,I was at the back of the boat, hanging on to the side with one hand and taking a picture with the other! Thank you for stopping by my SW

  16. Good shot. To me its as if you were walking through the trees headed to the beach and captured some sort of sea monster coming up for air to me.

I love the Oregon coast, while I live in Georgia, my mother lives in Seattle and my sister was married at a light house on the coast of Oregon. Very beautiful place.

  21. The sun was coming up over the Coast Range, lighting the sea and the rocks, but had not yet risen high enough to light the beach. The effect was startling.
