Santa Collection

The house is decorated. I finished the shopping this morning. Most everything is wrapped and ready to be shipped on ahead of us to Colorado, where we will be going for Christmas. But here at home the preparations continue. The Christmas letter is printed and the photo cards are done. I'll work on getting them ready to mail this afternoon. Saturday we'll host our Lucia Day dinner. Sometime I'll get to some baking, although I do much less now than I used to, especially since we have to carry cookies in our luggage! Once upon a time, when I was famous for my Christmas cookies, I made 14 different kinds! While we are busy, we also take time to enjoy the ambiance of our home. The tree is up and outdoor lights sparkle outside the family room window. Remember all that pottery I showed you earlier? It has been replaced by the Santa collection. We have been collecting for a long time now. Some are handmade and come from bazaars, many were gifts, some are fancy, some are funky, a few are old, some came from our travels, all are loved. The Santas on the mantle were all designed and made by a teacher friend.
I do love this time of year, especially when I stop being busy and just enjoy!

  3. Oh Wow, Linda! This is so fabulous! I just love seeing all the different, very unique Santas. It must be so much fun to collect them. Your holiday lights look so festive. Very few people put up Christmas lights because electricity costs here are astronomical.

  7. I enjoyed looking at your Santa collection. Wonderful Linda! And your house Christmas lights. We don't do that but some in our city do and the local electricity company gives a prize for the best. The same people win every year but their house is fantastic! - Dave

I have a collection as well and I don't believe I see any duplicates here. Your house looks lovely and inviting.
