Skywatch - Hats For a Mountain

Mt. Rainier frequently wears a cap cloud, but last Friday at sunset, the mountain seemed to have a reserve supply. The cap clouds were stacked up like caps on a shelf in a hat shop - a hat shop for mountains. Mt. Rainier is to the right in the picture. Click to enlarge.     Amazing photos and YES one must enlarge to see Mt. Rainer in the distance!
    Is it Rainer of Baker in your header image?

    I lived in Vancouver for a bit and loved seeing Baker in the distance!

    The mountain in my header is also Mt. Rainier. The photo was taken at sunrise on the southern flanks of the mountain in July at Paradise in Mt. Rainier National Park.

    Great clouds, Linda. I see Rainier. I did take some pics with clouds rising from the MT. but I didn't see the stacked ones. MB
