"Make the Yuletide Gay"

Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Let your heart be light. We are ready. The preparation is done. Let the celebrating begin. The family room is decked out in tree and boughs...
and the Santa Claus collection.
Even the bathroom is decorated.
The beams in the kitchen are garlanded.
Have yourself a Merry little Christmas,
Make the Yuletide gay. The dining room is ready for the Lucia dinner and the beginning of jul.
The guests have arrived. It's time to light the candles.
The cedar planked salmon is ready.
-
Menu:
Salmon with dill sauce Oven roasted fingerling potatoes with thyme
Roasted Brussels sprouts and parsnips with pecans
Petite peas and cauliflower
Butter crunch lettuce salad with avocado, Mandarin oranges and pomegranate seeds
Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore,
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.
Mavis and Colleen,
Lela and Jan.
We're so sorry Jan's husband Vic, and our good friend Jeanne couldn't be with us due to illness.
-
This is the group we have breakfast with every Friday. You'd think we'd run out of things to talk about, but we don't. We visited long into the evening.
-
To top off the meal we present Tom's hazelnut torte, a masterpiece that tastes as good as it looks.
It was a lovely, even magical evening.
-
So hang a shining star upon the highest bough,
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.

  11. I am totally blown away! The photos are incredible, but just thinking of the work that went into making it all happen... WOW! That Tom is amazing! The torte should be framed! Your table is just too too too elegant. It makes me smile just to look at your photos.
