Deer On The Beach!

In all of the years we've been going to the cabin at Rockaway Beach, this was a first.

I was out on the porch doing some exercises when I looked up and saw deer on the beach!

I grabbed my camera for proof, and took these photos from the porch.

They were a bit skittish, and moseyed on down the sand and out of sight.  Then as were getting ready to leave they were back.

I don't know if the locals see this often or not, but it was new for me.

It's always good to experience something new.

  2. Your pictures are just so clear and well framed, Linda, I am glad you got that new camera. I'm now thinking maybe I should invest...

  3. I think it a privilege to see deer any time (except during hunting season, when I want them to be hiding).

  4. how fun, great photos and new header. we just returned from northern utah and saw many signs warning of deer but no deer anywhere which is good on the roads.

  5. Just to let you know, these photos, and all that I took recently, were taken with my little Canon Powershot camera. It's my fall back camera for hiking, touring, or just grabbing quick shots. With a built in zoom, light weight and ease of use, it's just a great little camera. And once my photos are downloaded to my computer, cropping can really make a difference.

  7. I've seen them in yards, even at a track I run by, but by the beach they look even more lovely. ~Mary

  9. Lovely photos...I don't recall ever seeing photos of deer on a beach either, they do seem out of their element.
