She asked for crab and shrimp and artichokes. She got it all.
After dinner we all dyed Easter eggs.
Then there were presents, of course.
New clothes from Grandma and Grandpa.
And then birthday cookie pie and ice cream to top it all off.
We're not done yet. The Birthday/Easter pageant continues on Sunday, when there will be a few more family members and an Easter Kitty theme. I hear there will be Cat Cake.
Happy birthday to Irene. It looks like she had a great birthday.
ReplyDeleteCrab, shrimp and artichokes? Are you sure she's only 9? Those are some unusual taste buds. Happy Birthday, Irene!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Irene! What a wonderful birthday you had! I can hardly wait to see photos of the cat cake. Happy Easter to everyone. :)
ReplyDeletehow fun to watch the grandkids grow up...
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful celebration. Those grand kids are growing up so fast--as grand kids seem to do. My granddaughter would have chosen a very similar meal. Happy Easter to you all!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Irene!!
ReplyDeleteI love a child who knows what she wants.
And all looked so serious dyeing those eggs
That was a great birthday party and egg dying event! Happy birthday to Irene! Aloha from Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Irene! I love your family fun time together. The Easter eggs are lovely. I am coloring Easter eggs right now myself. My husband asked if I would ever outgrow this! :) No!
ReplyDeleteEverything you do is so beautiful!
Crab and shrimp artichokes? I just saw a cooking show where they made that and it looked wonderful. We make stuffed artichokes, but do it the traditional way with just breadcrumbs, garlic, and parmesan cheese. But your way looks great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful birthday!
Happy Easter to you. Those are lovely grandchildren and they have the most beautiful hair.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Irene. Nine is my favorite age! Full of curiosity, able to participate in nearly anything, and full of enthusiasm for whatever is offered.
ReplyDeleteOh to be nine again! Happy Birthday Irene:)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday Irene! I love dying eggs with my kids at school. When I retire, I may need to borrow children around Easter!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like so much fun! Lucky Irene!
