The dahlias are just coming on, as are the zinnias and the French marigolds. The asters and sunflowers will be later.
The tall marigolds are bursting forth. A few sweet peas are in bloom.
Last year I planted a whole bunch of crocosmia 'Lucifer' bulbs that I rescued from the neighbor's property before the bulldozes got them. The lot was cleared and is now going to weeds, awaiting construction of several new houses. It has been two years now, and except for all the digging to put in utilities, nothing yet.
Anyway, the crocosmias are blooming in all of the places around the yard where I planted them. The hummingbirds and I love them.
The bees, butterflies, and hummers love this place too.
wow you have lots of bouquets...gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow, two gorgeous vases! Your garden is looking so very good; no wonder the bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds hang out there!
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of your garden brings me to tears. Your bouquets are gorgeous too. I bought Zinnia and sunflower seeds and somehow never got around to sowing them.
ReplyDeleteYou have the kind of garden that could contain hundreds of bouquets!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Your excellent gardening labors pay off!
ReplyDeleteEverything is very beautiful, Linda. I love both vases but the garden is just stunning! I'd hang out there too if I lived nearby. :-)
ReplyDeleteVERY nice floral arrangements! I don't usually cut my flowers and bring them in the house. Hmmm. Maybe I shall start!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous, Linda.
ReplyDeleteWell done Linda. Love the dahlias.
ReplyDeletePretty bouquets. I have exactly one Dahlia flower open as yet ( a dark wine).
