Hippity-Hoppity Happy Easter Day

There were baskets for your mommy, and for everybody too.
Jill and her kids cooked a wonderful Easter Dinner.
Twice baked potatoes and Good Morning buns were the stars, according to popular opinion, but I thought the ham, asparagus, and fruit salad were just right too.
After the food settled, it was time for the egg hunt. Easter Bunny Jake had done the hiding.
We all get in the act. Aunt Jan got distracted by the lilac bush.

This guy with the too white sneakers was cleaning up!
Charlie Brown, er..., Tom, found some rocks.
It was time for the first count. Jill got out her phone calculator to tally up our findings. Nope. Still nine more.
And they were all found! Then it was time to check on the loot.
 Isaac had quite the stash.

 He cashed in, for sure.
We also celebrated birthdays. Jake opened a gift.
Mr. Whiskers wanted to help Irene with her pile of gifts.

And then we ate some more. I made favorites for each, berry pie for Jake and cherry cheese cake for Irene.
Fortunately, they shared with the rest of us.

We settled in to watch the Sounders match on TV at 4:00, but by halftime it was looking like a bad outcome, and we all drifted back to our own homes.

Aside from our team losing, it was a very good, day!

  4. Now that looks like a lot of fun. I remember one year I did such a good job of hiding the eggs that some were found as late as May!! Have a great week!
