Finally. Their ordeal is over. Amanda and Raffaele are free!
And as happy as I am that the original verdict was overturned, I am still angry that the sham that was the first trial, based on character assassination and a prosecutor's ego and wet dream, was allowed, and that these two young people have spent the last four years in prison, fighting for their lives.
I agree with you 110%. I am SO glad Amanda can finally go home.
ReplyDeleteThat whole thing has been a nightmare. I can imagine her parents are drained financially, emotionally, and physically.
ReplyDeleteamazing and scary how justice can be so mixed up and take so long..
ReplyDeleteI hope she leaves the country quickly.
ReplyDeleteI have been following this case for years and can't imagine the horror it has been for Amanda and her family. As much as we whine about our justice system, I don't think such a miscarriage of justice could happen here. Thank God at least this phase is over! I am sure she will suffer emotionally for the rest of her life.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for them and hope this whole nightmare can be put behind them for good!!
