Free At Last!

Finally.  Their ordeal is over.  Amanda and Raffaele are free!

And as happy as I am that the original verdict was overturned, I am still angry that the sham that was the first trial, based on character assassination and a prosecutor's ego and wet dream, was allowed, and that these two young people have spent the last four years in prison, fighting for their lives.

  2. That whole thing has been a nightmare. I can imagine her parents are drained financially, emotionally, and physically.

  5. I have been following this case for years and can't imagine the horror it has been for Amanda and her family. As much as we whine about our justice system, I don't think such a miscarriage of justice could happen here. Thank God at least this phase is over! I am sure she will suffer emotionally for the rest of her life.
