Clam Lights

Here is one of the things we were too busy doing this weekend, so that we couldn't go to Whidbey Island.

Clam Lights, at Coulon Park in nearby Renton, is sponsored by Ivar's Acres of Clams, of course.

This was opening night.  We waited for the countdown, and the flipping of the switch to light the lights.   OOOOOO!

Out on the pier, we could look back at the lights and the wonderful reflections, and also watch the opening night lighted boat parade.

As we left, the Argosy Christmas Ship arrived, and the choir aboard serenaded us with holiday songs.

And then we came home to warm up.

  1. Great pictures! It almost has to be cold to appreciate Christmas decorations. :)

  2. Wow! That is so gorgeous! I don't know where they have anything like this in Hawaii. I know they have something at city hall, but it's not nearly as spectacular as what you have.

  6. It would be worth it to go out in the cold to see this spectacular display. Wow. Nothing to clam up about with those lights. (Pardon the pun.)

  8. Hey there! Great pictures of last night's parade. We were in the parade last night (the boat with the snow man tilting his hat)and wondering if you have any other photos of boats from the parade and if you could forward them to rscott1797@aol.com
Rainier Yacht Club would be much appreciative to have photos of their boats all decked out.
