When we got up this morning at 8:00 there were lovely feathers falling. That shower of snow didn't last long, but I took my camera out when I went to get the paper, not knowing if we would get any more.
Josy was quite interested in watching, from indoors, of course.
A little after noon, we headed through the city to the Center of Urban Horticulture, where were were to attend a lecture on container planting.
It was snowing hard on the way, and I brought my camera just in case. The scene was lovely, and after the lecture I went out to take photos.
Back at home we had more snow too. I put on my boots and went outside to capture some of the beauty.
The birds were happy for the feeders.
The sky was clearing as the sun went down, but more snow showers are expected for the next two days.
With now school tomorrow, there will be fun in the snow!
Beautiful photos! We were supposed to get that snow too, but we had blue sky and not even a hint of snow. This has been an unusually dry season for us, even on the dry side of the state.
ReplyDeleteBrrr. Looks cold! Temperatures in Hawaii ranged from the mid-50s to the low 60s yesterday morning, and remember we have no heating system indoors, so it was cold for us.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You had a lot more snow than we did.
ReplyDeleteThe snow has been beautiful hasn't it? Your photos are terrific! I got some too and we also had a brief, but unbelievable a couple of nights ago! I've never seen one quite as dramatic and that's saying a lot for Seattle! Have a great week, Linda!

Fantastic pictures! I especially love your new header photo. The snow makes the pictures more beautiful than ever. We didn't get nearly as much snow here in Bellingham.
ReplyDeleteLove your header. We got nothing compared to what you got. It snowed off and on during the day but melted. Your photos are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the Townsends Warbler.

It is beautiful but looks oh so cold. They say we will finally get some precipitation here though no snow is expected. Tonight we will get your cold and I don't know how my citrus will fare with the expected 24 degrees.
ReplyDeleteI live in a place , Mumbai, where winter never happens :-) ....To me all this snow is pure magic, and your photographs are even more magical ! Great post.
ReplyDeleteSending you lots of sunshine from here ....:-)
Even covered with snow, your gardens are beauty and perfection.
ReplyDeleteNo school??
Here in Missouri, it has been very warm. Then temperatures fell, our half inch of snow froze underneath. It made for a very scary drive for morning commuters. It is nice to be retired and safe indoors. It was also 8 degrees.
ReplyDeletegreat photos, we have yet to get our one day of snow...maybe soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. It is easier to love snow when it comes rarely!
ReplyDeleteOh, It was a lovely snow. I love the photos that show the sky clearing as well.
ReplyDeleteWe're having a respite from snow this year, I think. It has been bitterly cold, though, for the past few days.
That is my favorite kind of snow; one that transforms all it touches into a 'wonder' land...very lovely!
ReplyDeletethese photos are stunning!!
ReplyDeleteI love how snow decorates the world
the shots where the sun is peeping a bit are fantastic
and here and there you caught pops of color like the blue on the bike
have fun with the kids in the snow :)
I love this sticky sort of snow that clings to everything. It makes everything look magical! Gorgeous photos as usual, Linda!
