The grandkids are at the cabin on Whidbey Island with Jill and Jake for the three day weekend, where they have no snow.
But that doesn't stop me from having my own kid fun. I built a snowman this morning.
I had to get Tom out to help me lift the mid section, and then he took photos. He's not much for playing in the snow.
Gotta' get the head secured.
He needs arms.
Charcoal eyes, a carrot nose, cedar trig mouth, and of course, Frosty's broomstick. And a fisherman's hat for when it rains.
It looks like a snow party.
Should we serve snow cones?
I think both you and your snowman are fabulous. I'll bet the grandkids are wishing they were at your house playing with you.
ReplyDeleteOf course your snowman is perfect...wouldn't expect anything less from something you put your hand to.
ReplyDeleteThat's just superb, Linda! I couldn't have done better. Thank you to Tom for taking pictures!
ReplyDeleteGreat snowman! We didn't get enough snow to make a snowball, just a very light dusting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great snowman, created by a most excellent artist! And thanks to Tom for taking the pictures... :-)
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeletethat is so cute, so glad you still have the "kid" in you.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think I could like you more than I already did...but I do! Love your spirit!
ReplyDeleteOh Linda, good for you for getting out there and playing with that inner child!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you had a ball...
That's quite a handsome snowman Linda.
ReplyDeletehow fun with or without kids...nice snowman! definitely serve snow cones...lol!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that when we vacation in Sedona, Arizona to get out of the Seattle rain, there's a huge snow?
ReplyDeleteLove your snowman! From what I hear, you may have enough of the white stuff to build some friends for the first guy!
Wow! That is an excellent snowman and it doesn't look like you had a tremendous amount of snowfall. Everything looks beautiful! I love your header shot!

ReplyDeleteNice Story. I think I like building snowmen even better than when I was a child. I get much more creative now.The only problem is that it is harder for me to get started. My experience reminds me how cold and wet I'll probably get. (The bad part of getting older/wiser) I no longer think like a child though I haven't given up childish ways.
